Apple crumble

Apple crumble

Fall is when I want to start baking again, September is for apples and October is for pumpkins, I don’t make the rules.

I am a lazy baker and I prefer when recipes are simple and quick so here’s how I like to do my apple crumble;

Ingredients:

• 8 or 9 apples cored and diced

• 1 cup of brown sugar

• 1/2 cup of vegan margarine

• 2/3 cup of flour

• 3/4 cup of rolled oats or quick oats or a mix of both

• a pinch of salt

• 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

• 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg

Preparation:

• Preheat the oven to 350°F

• In a bowl mix the apples and half of the brown sugar( 1/2 cup), add this mixture into the baking dish.

• In the same bowl, mix together all the other ingredients. When everything is combined pour this onto the apples and spread it to cover the entire surface.

• Bake for 50 minutes or until the crumble is lightly golden.

• Let it rest and cool down for about an hour before serving.

• Enjoy the autumnal goodness!

Magical correspondences:
Apples are symbols of love, lust, luck and prosperity. Cinnamon represents abundance and prosperity as well as protection. Nutmeg is a lucky spice, protective too and a symbol of fidelity. When you add the ingredients to your recipe you can visualize their energy being infused in your baked goods. Mixing clockwise is attracting energy and anti-clockwise is banishing them.
Let’s get baking!
